Windmill Game Ranch has excellent opportunity for harvesting native free ranging whitetail with excellent genetics. Most bucks or 8 point & sometimes 10 point by age 2 years. The canyons & Oak trees & large Ash cedar trees (sometimes known as blueberry cedar) make excelent places for bow stands. Several tree stands & tripods are already set up at feeders but feel free to bring your own tree stand to set up along trails or by one of many feeders already in place.
Orientation upon arrival: on the first day before your hunt, so plan your arrival to the ranch at least one hour before your hunt. You will be greeted at the ranch and receive information regarding hunting, lodging, and the ranch in general. You will receive a release and rules form to sign. Hunting Area: The ranch has 1400 acres with 700 acres reserved for bow hunting. Stands: Tripods, and Ground Blinds: There are numerous stands located over 15 feeders & food plots. We add new stands and food plots every year. Feel free to bring your own tree stand to set up for your hunt as well, as well as your favorite chair. Lodging and meals Included: The Lodge is unsurpassed with all the luxuries of home. We have targets set up for practice near the lodge. Meals consist of your choice of bacon & eggs or breakfast burritos or sausage biscuits in the morning with a full course lunch & evening meal. Hunters Must Provide: Valid Texas Hunting License Drinks: the nearest store is 10 miles from ranch so bring your drinks. Water is provided. Check List -What to bring on your hunt: 1.
